Mr Shahnawaz Khan is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee conditions. He is a surgeon for Hip and Knee Revisions at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, managing a wide range of joint disorders including arthritis, ligament injuries, and complex reconstruction cases. His specialist interests include primary and revision hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement, sports knee injuries, arthroscopy, meniscal repair, ligament reconstruction, and knee preservation procedures such as osteotomy and patella-femoral realignment.
He graduated in Medicine from Guy's, King's & St Thomas' Medical School, University of London in 2008 and also holds a BSc in Human Physiology (Upper Second Class Honours). He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2012 and later completed a Master's in Musculoskeletal Sciences at the University of Oxford.
Mr Khan completed his orthopaedic training on the Stanmore programme, with further subspecialty fellowships at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. He has published and presented widely on joint reconstruction and is a member of the British Hip Society. He is known for his clear communication and patient-centred approach.
